What is Left Behind

Following his father’s death, Samir returns to his hometown. Haunted by the memories that occupy his father’s residence, Samir develops an obsessive coping mechanism of going to the tombs everyday. He forges a connection with a street dog he meets there. Samir struggles with hallucinations fueled by his guilt and fear of losing his father a second time, as the tombs start sinking into the ground. Spending most of his time at the tombs, Samir turns them into his own resting place.
