Film Possible, in association with The Authors and Stone Age Africa, is excited to present the Matatu Film Stage - Harare Edition.
We are on a mission to cure the cinema hunger, taking bold African stories to every corner of the continent and beyond. Our next stop is Harare, Zimbabwe.
To make this edition truly special, we are expanding our curation of powerful African films. We are calling on all Zimbabwean filmmakers, both in Zimbabwe and in the diaspora, to submit their films for consideration for the Harare Edition.

who can submit?

Zimbabwean directors or producers, based in Zimbabwe or in the diaspora.

All genres: fiction, documentary, animation, experimental.

Short and feature lengths are both welcome.
Key guidelines

Provide an online screener link with password if needed.

You must own all rights to exhibit the film at non-theatrical festival screenings.

Submissions are free.

If selected, you agree to provide a ProRes, or high-quality MP4 and at least 2 stills.

Subtitles are required for all non-English or heavily accented dialogue.
Our curatorial team reviews all entries on a rolling basis. Only selected films will be contacted.
